Abstract:

Wondering what all the chatter about DevOps is all about? This session will offer a jumpstart on DevOps concepts, followed by a step-by-step tour through key PowerShell DSC concepts you need to implement highly automated and agile IT operations.

Description:

The session will open with succinct coverage of DevOps concepts. Next you’ll learn about the core concepts of PowerShell DSC, including deploying your first secure Pull Server. We’ll then look at advanced concepts like automating DSC module deployment to managed systems. The session will conclude with a look at DSC resources for automating System Center and Microsoft Azure.

Presenter Bio:

Pete Zerger currently operates as Principal Program Manager at Cireson. He is also an author, speaker, and 9-time Microsoft MVP, focusing on hybrid cloud design, management and data center automation solutions. Pete has presented at popular technical conferences around the world including MS TechEd and System Center Universe. He has authored many technical whitepapers and is co-author of several books, including both the Orchestrator Unleashed and Operations Manager Unleashed titles from Sams Publishing. He blogs at the community he founded and moderates, System Center Central (http://systemcentercentral.com).
