Abstract:
Customizing WinPE with a front end for use in Microsoft Deployment (MDT) using MDT Templates, UpdateExit Scripts, and Driver Plugins

Description:
Presentation is not geared for CM OSD, but for creating a customized WinPE Environment to support System Recovery (DaRT), Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE), and McAfee Encryption (DETech) using a customizable and dynamic frontend. Driver Plugins are introduced for the integration of optional components CMTrace, On Screen Keyboard (Touch Enabled), System Information, and Windows WDK Driver Tools (dpinst and devcon) which can be easily ported to an OSD Boot Image. Customization of Logo and Help & Support messages are detailed.

David Segura (MCTS) is an Operating Systems Expert with 19 years of Microsoft Windows Deployment Expertise (Windows 95 to Windows 8.1), and 7 years with Apple Mac OS X. Currently at Baker Hughes (13 years), David is responsible for creating all Enterprise Windows Images, Managing Custom Deployment Solutions using a highly customized Microsoft Deployment Wizard and Task Sequence, SCCM OSD Task Sequence integrated with 1E, and developing a highly customized WinPE front end for Onsite Support Imaging and Troubleshooting.
