1E has thus far migrated over 1 million PC operating systems since the XP migrations began. There were a ton of lessons learned and new techniques and solutions developed to make this exercise fast, efficient, and cost effective, leaving the customer with a new business-as-usual solution to manage the new Win10 servicing model’s Feature Upgrades, and the large monthly Security Updates that are also coming.

This session provides an overview of our experience and approach to managing the Win10 migration underway at companies all over the world. These same tools and techniques are supported by some of the best deployment experts in the world, including Knowledge Factory’s Johan Arwidmark and Coretech’s Kent Agerlund. The session will also include several demos that illustrate the concepts brought forth during the presentation.

Presenter Bio:
Ed is an 11 year Microsoft Configuration Manager MVP, multiple Industry Expert speaker at the Microsoft Management Summit series, and was a founder of the New England Area SMS User Group which he led for many years. Ed is a founding member of, and Advisory Committee member still supporting, the myITForum Systems Management community. He is frequently seen around the country as a familiar face at community related events and industry conferences.

Since 2006, Ed has leveraged his extensive Configuration Manager expertise while employed for the past nine years as a Solutions Engineer with 1E Inc, a Microsoft Gold Partner. Ed is currently is a Technical Enablement Lead at 1E, responsible for training new employees on the Configuration Manager product and how 1E tools further enhance that integration into a world class enterprise management solution.
